Initially started off to be an end to end IT solutions provider, the company's focus later on shifted to becoming a domain expert in the education market. Through multiple acquisitions in the US, UK and India in 2007, CORE Projects today is an end-to-end solutions provider in the education administration space. For the fiscal year ended March 2007, CORE Project earned close to 76% of its revenue from the domestic market. Segment wise, software products contributed almost 98% to the revenue, with the rest coming in from the IT services. The company is not focused on any one or two verticals. It caters to various verticals thereby de-risking its revenue from being dependent on any particular vertical. During FY07, the company earned 28% of its revenue from the ERP services vertical, 24% from the education vertical, 23% from the BFSI vertical, 22% from the Logistics vertical and the rest from the healthcare vertical. Geographically, the company continues to be majorly dependent on the American market as this region contributed close to 68% of the company's revenue. The Asia Pacific region came in second with 21%
share.

Recent Developments

CORE Projects has been trying to expand aggressively in an inorganic manner. In keeping this goal in mind, the company acquired three companies -Aarman Inc., Aarman Software Pvt. Ltd and Emacs Technologies Inc., in December 2006. The acquisition of Aarman has strengthened the company's offerings in the ERP segment, while the acquisition of Emacs has given a boost to its offerings targeted at the logistics and healthcare verticals.

In September 2007, CORE Projects also acquired the UK based Azzurri, Hamlet Computer Group and Symbia Professional Services and the US based KC Management Group. The Hamlet Computer Group will strengthen the company's offerings in the IT systems field, while the acquisition of Symbia will help the company enter into the public and private sector companies. Azzurri has since become a wholly owned subsidiary of the company in the UK and is now known as CORE Education UK.
